About

Sovereign Templar Knights Guild

The Sovereign Templar Knights Guild is an elite brotherhood within the Freedom Lodge, reserved for men who have proven themselves through discipline, sacrifice, and devotion. This guild is composed of Companions and Sovereign Knights—brothers who have undergone the Sovereign Knights Rite of Passage, a sacred and demanding initiation into virtuous embodiment, spiritual fortitude, and authentic nobility.

The Sovereign Knights Rite of Passage is a one-month journey of renouncing vice, refining the body, sharpening the mind, and strengthening the spirit. Those who endure this path will face a final test—a 2.5-day fast in the wilderness, culminating in the Sacred Knighting Ceremony, where they are formally bestowed with the title of Sovereign Knight, an honor that endures for life within the Freedom Lodge.

This guild will begin with the initial Companions, a select brotherhood by invitation only, who will unite and undergo the first Rite of Passage together, setting the foundation for this sacred order. Upon the completion of the Founders’ Initiations, the Sovereign Templar Knights Guild will be fully established, standing as an order of discipline, honor, and Christian chivalry within the Lodge.

Following the establishment of the guild, Rites of Passage will be held bi-monthly or quarterly, opening the doors for new brothers to embark on this transformative journey.

More details will be revealed soon, as the Sovereign Knights Founders’ Rite of Passage begins this Spring.

Only the steadfast will rise. Only the disciplined will endure. Only the worthy will be knighted.

The path is before you. Will you rise to meet it?

The Sovereign Knight’s Oath

"I am devoted to being a virtuous man of Christ. I establish myself in the Sovereign Knights Templar Guild. I bow before Christ, the King of Kings—I humbly serve Him as a faithful knight. He raises me up in holy nobility within the Kingdom of God, and I exist to serve God’s Kingdom and commit every thought, word, and deed to being of service.

I vow myself to be virtue, honor, and integrity in my devotion to God. I commit myself to serve as a steward of God’s Kingdom. I understand that through Christ, my sins are forgiven. I release my attachment to the world and to the wickedness of vice. I am a man of virtue, and I honor God by this embodiment.

Purity, patience, and generosity, kindness, discipline, diligence, & humility exist within the constitution of my character. Through Christ, I am no longer bound to the vices of lust, rage, greed, envy, gluttony, sloth, and pride.

In God’s Kingdom, I am free and Sovereign. I am bestowed a crown that I lay upon the foot of God’s throne—where Christ reigns as absolute Sovereign in my life. His throne is firmly set within my heart, and nothing else ever comes between me and Christ. For as I live as a Sovereign Knight, I commit my life to Christ.

As I am a Sovereign Knight of Christ, I vow to protect, provide, and preside within my community, and within all of God’s Kingdom. No force of evil will prevail while I am on duty and for as long as I live, I am on duty."

Standards of a Sovereign Knight

A Sovereign Knight is bound by a code of conduct that reflects the highest virtue and character. The constitution of his soul embodies purity, patience, generosity, kindness, discipline, diligence, and humility. A Knight is held to impeccable standards, for his honor is his livelihood and must remain pure and true.

A Sovereign Knight forbids himself to fall to the temptations of vice. He resists the allure of lust, rage, greed, envy, gluttony, sloth, and pride. Through Christ, he overcomes, and through virtue, he thrives.

Templar Motto "In Hoc Signo Vinces"

Translation: "In this Sign we Conquer"

As Sovereign Templar Knights, we proclaim: "We conquer ourselves by the Cross we carry."
